EQUAL LEADERSHIP
Given that women continue to be underrepresented in decision-making positions in political and economic life in many EU Member States, the project aims to define a new strategy and the creation of new tools to achieve that goal.
A Drone to Promote Equality in Political and Economic Decision-Making
The project aims to develop a platform that includes an interactive database of all existing good practices in the EU countries.
The expected results of the project are the integration of good practices, a guide to promote the participation and equal representation of women in political and economic decision-making, as well as the definition and improvement of new strategies and tools.
Participants
Portuguese Catholic University (UCP) is the Program Coordinator.
University of Florence (FORLILPSI), University of Latvia (LU), Ronsel Foundation (FRONSEL), Gaudete Foundation (FG) and Portuguese Psychologists Association are the other entities affiliated with the program; to which different tasks are entrusted, such as:
- Project management.
- State of the art analysis.
- Platform of Good Practices and Tools.
- New strategies and tools.
- Evaluation and replication.
- Community Network and Outreach.
Participants
The project will mainly have as participants: young people at the end of their bachelor’s or master’s degree, senior managers in companies and public administration, members of civil society organizations, social media influencers and media analysts.
The project will develop activities to enable this shift to focus on the gender equality knowledge base, platform design; survey about target groups and employers; focus groups with the media and civil organizations; Mutual Learning and Sensitization activities; promotion of a Community Network.

Main Objectives
- Development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of comprehensive national strategies by the authorities to achieve equal participation of women and men in politics and economic life.
- Mutual learning and identification of good practices between responsible authorities in Member States and/or between stakeholders relevant.
- Sensitization and empowerment activities, in particular activities that address negative attitudes and stereotypes regarding gender roles and expected behaviors.
