Universidade Católica Portuguesa / CEPCEP
Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Centro de Estudos dos Povos e Culturas de Expressão Portuguesa (UCP/CEPCEP) is a research centre at Universidade Católica Portuguesa, established in February 1983.
CEPCEP pursues the development of culture, knowledge, advanced research, and co-operation in the intellectual, artistic, technological and scientific fields, bringing together people from different walks of life and from various continents. According to its charter, CEPCEP aims to further the understanding of human and cultural interactions throughout the world and the collaboration in the advancement of knowledge in all fields related to human and social behaviour including disadvantaged people and problems of gender equality and domestic violence.
From 1983 to date CEPCEP has carried out several courses, seminars and research projects. Povos e Culturas (Peoples and Cultures) is the title of the CEPCEP official journal, which covers diverse thematic areas. In addition, CEPCEP runs an intensive editorial activity touching on a wide range of initiatives encompassing books, studies, working papers, and encyclopaedias.
CEPCEP is active in a range of research projects in the domains of labour markets, skills anticipation, human capital forecasting, medium- and long-term employment scenarios, labour market surveys, evaluation of European employment strategies, evaluation of major re-skilling public policies, namely in terms of gender equality, skills audit, low-skilled policy, migrants and job opportunities, unemployment profiling, labour market barometer, early warning indicators of labour fluctuations, occupational mobility, wages and qualifications in the labour force, econometric estimations of macro and micro employment creation and destruction, organisational innovation, migration policy and equity, education and training needs in the context of lifelong learning programmes.
CEPCEP has a particular interest and track record in research programmes.

There are many compelling reasons to join PROPEGE – Equal Leadership, including:
- Making a Difference: By promoting the project Equal Leadership, CEPCEP has the opportunity to contribute to a positive change in society. We can play individually and as a consortium a role in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, and creating a more just and fair world.
- Disseminating good practices: By promoting the project Equal Leadership , we will be contributing to the dissemination of good practices on leadership and decision-making to promote gender equality. To promote these good practices will help to increase gender equality more broadly. However, it will indicate us the gaps in which there is still room for improvements and in need of making continued efforts to address gender inequalities in leadership and decision-making.
- Building Networks: Promoting the project Equal Leadership allows us to build connections and networks with relevant stakeholders who share these same values and goals. At the same time we promote knowledge exchange environment in which stakeholders share and learn with each other.
- Creating Lasting Impact: By promoting the project Equal Leadership, we have the opportunity to create lasting impact that can benefit future generations. The work of Equal Leadership can help create a more equitable and just society that values diversity, inclusion, and human rights.
Overall, promoting the project Equal Leadership can be a rewarding and meaningful experience that allows us to make a difference, disseminate good practices, identify gaps in the field, build networks, knowledge exchange, and create a lasting impact in society at large.
Foundation Gaudete
The “Gaudete” Foundation was set up in 1992 in Katowice – Poland.
The Gaudete Foundation aims to: provide a wide range of support educational through the creation of dynamic educational environments which promote physical, mental health and sport, promote and support education for women, youth, adults, propagate the idea of voluntary help as a means of sharing skills with other people, support activities for saving the spiritual and material cultural heritage, popularization scientific knowledge as knowledge to be applied in real life; to create a knowledge-based society.
The organization creates opportunities for the exchange of knowledge and experience between trainers, teachers and tutors in the aspect of women and adult education.
The organization undertakes joint initiatives in the field of transferring knowledge between generations.

Department of Education, Languages, Interculture, Literatures and Psychology
The Department of Education, Languages, Interculture, Literatures and Psychology (identified with the acronym FORLILPSI) was established on 1 January 2019 with the aim of improving the overall efficiency of the departmental organization. FORLILPSI is an interdisciplinary department that embraces research areas ranging from educational science and psychology to languages, philology and literature.
The aim of the department is to conduct research and promote learning in the area of relationships between languages, cultures, minds, behaviors, and education through the investigation of texts and contexts and spatial and temporal dimensions.
The pedagogical area of the Department is very much focused on research on policy measures and practices that promotes (or hinders) adult learning, equity, active citizenship, individual and collective transformation and, where possible, emancipation.

FORLILPSI joined the EQUAL Leadership in order to investigate on existing practices and measures that support or hinder transformation processes, culture evolution, adult learning within territories, communities, governments, workplaces.
Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses
Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses – OPP (Portuguese Psychologists Association) is a professional public association (legal person governed by public law with administrative and financial autonomy). OPP represents and regulates the practice of psychology professionals who, in compliance with the rulings of the Statute and the applicable legal provisions, practice professionally as psychologists in Portugal (as defined in Portuguese Law 57/2008, amended by the Law 138/2015). Its OPP`mission: to scrutinize the exercise and access to the profession of psychologist; to develop technical and ethical standards; to exercise disciplinary power over its members. Are other OPP`s duties: to defend the general interests of the profession and users of Psychology services; to provide services to members in relation to information and professional training; to collaborate with other Public Administration bodies in the pursuit of goals in the public interest which are related to the profession; to participate in the creation of legislation relating to the profession and in the official accreditation processes and in the evaluation of courses that give access to the profession.
OPP have an internal organization based on respect for the rights of members and the democratic formation of their bodies.
OPP represents about 26.000 members. As the regulated title in Portugal is “Psychologist” (with mandatory membership), the full members mantain their continuous professional development path, and can make their Professional Specialization. To get the title of Specialist, as defined at the OPP`s General Regulation of Professional Specialties (approved in 2016, and amended as published at Reg. n.º 957/2021), the Portuguese Psychologists have to comply with the criteria defined in the regulation [summarily: Professional Experience + Postgraduate Training + Other Elements (such as Supervision) specific to the area ].
There are 3 specialties of psychology in Portugal (Clinical and Health Psychology; Educational Psychology; Work, Social and Organizational Psychology) and 12 advanced specialization areas (Community Psychology; Early Intervention; Justice/Forensic Psychology; Neuropsychology; Occupational Health Psychology; Psychogerontology; Psychological Coaching; Psychotherapy; Sexology; Special Educational Needs; Sport Psychology; Vocational Psychology and career development). The Specialties correspond to broad areas of professional practice and domains of competence in Psychology. Advanced Specialties correspond to more specific and specialized contexts of professional activity. The title of Specialist is not mandatory for exercise in the various fields of Psychology in Portugal.
OPP is the Portuguese authority for professional recognition regarding the European professional mobility directive.
Motivation to join "EQUAL Leadership"
To contribute to the main objective of the ProPEGE Project: the promotion of gender equality, in political and economic leadership and in decision-making bodies with the development/identification/dissemination of strategies, actions, tools, exchange of good practices and promotion of gender balance in public debates.
The project implementation will make it possible, since will contribute to the Societal Education Challenge, Justice and Equity, by:
- Promoting the presence of psychologists in the design of public policies for gender equality, at national level and at European level;
- Developing useful tools for psychologists in advocating equal representation of women and men in political decision-making.
Fundación Ronsel
Fundación Ronsel is a beneficent and educational institution founded in 2000 in Galicia (Spain) and registered into the Register of Foundations of Galician Interest. This consideration involves a series of requirements of transparency, constitution, and government forms which is essential in terms of social responsibility.
Through alliances with other entities and belonging to diverse networks we have broadened our scope and participated in different Spanish, European, and international projects.
We work to improve employability, fostering wage employment and supporting self-employment through job orientation, intermediation, occupational training and consultancy for set up a business or start a self-employement project.

We have been working for years on programs in which women are the protagonists of a fairer, more egalitarian and stable business leadership.
For this reason, having references, new tools, methodologies, partners and good practices in the European environment that make women feel like leaders in the political and economic spheres, will help us to improve and continue with our labour.
